Week 4 - Tower of Terror
I went to Disneyland today and while waiting in line at Tower of Terror I decided to look at all the different lighting inside the building. Normally the first thing I notice is the set decor, but today I took time to take in the light. I took the picture above because the light fixture was casting a design of shadows on the wall and I thought it was a GOBO of sorts even though it isn't in the traditional sense. This was in the lobby, but as you go deeper into the ride you enter the cellar (boiler room?) area. In there it was too dark for me to take any pictures, but I was able to see the actual lighting instruments they were using. There were a lot of LEKOs with top hats being used. I thought it was really cool that I knew what they were using. All the lighting in the ride is used to create a spooky and unsettling ambiance.

Nice image and ties to your emotions. You are actually seeing 3 gobos - above that archway are 3 lekos projecting gobos to make it look like they are coming from that light :)
