I was just hanging out in my friend Floura's room and I noticed her lamp. The outside of the lamp itself looked like it had a pink glass, which reminded me of a gel for light. She told me when she turned off all her lights and only left that one on, her entire room turns pink. Sadly I wanted to take a photo of her entire room but because the color isn't in front of the lamp itself the pink hue isn't as strong so the room still had a natural color. Luckily my friend Kevin used his phone and took the photo for me. I loved the feeling of isolation. The shadows gave a nice effect that tied in with the pink hue on the blinds. Instead of seeing the direction of the light, it seemed to look more like a glow similar to the sun or moon. I come to realize that color brings out the mood and time of a scene but shadows are also as important as color, because they also contribute into creating more dynamic.
Great observations on the color - think about how color ties to words like, soft, harsh, cold, warm, etc. as well - it will help you determine how you want to light the emotions you feel
